Unsure of which Symmerista this is, but possibilities include Red-humped Oakworm, S. canicosta, the Orange-humped Mapleworm, S. leucitys, or the White-headed Prominent, S. albifrons, although I tend to believe S. leucitys due the large presence of maples. Discovered in deeply mixed wooded trail half-way up Mt. Arab in the Adirondack Mountains.
