First Ever Pine Siskin Fledgling

Baldwinsville, NY

While it is now May and we are still having up to 30 Pine Siskins voraciously feeding on our nyger seed, we were certain we had seen signs of nesting activity over the previous month. That all was proven correct tonight as we discovered this tiny fledgling hunkered down in our Empire apple tree, which sits just below a 60' Blue Spruce.

A cute fluffy little guy. Beautiful image, love the pink blossoms.
