I know, you are all wondering, is this really the main street in "downtown" Kaunakakai?

The answer is, yes and no. It's half of it. If I spun around 180 degrees, you would see
almost exactly the same thing.

This is honestly the type of town you miss if you sneeze when driving through.

Molokai residents are happy with the way things are and don't want a lot of change. In fact,
they don't particularly like much progress at all. The only two "chain businesses" I saw on
the island were a small Subway and a slightly larger Napa Auto Parts store.

They like things quiet on Molokai.
