Pictures are arranged roughly in time order... earliest in the evening at the top, later night (and more risque pics), are further down.
For those that are uninitiated to the Lahaina Halloween fun, every year the police will close off Front Street for a distance of about a mile. The streets are packed with party goers showing off their costumes and the bars and restaurants lining Front Street are PACKED with spectators and party goers alike. This year that 1 mile stretch of street saw 25k-30k people according to the news papers.
The events start early in the afternoon with the children's parade (photo's coming soon in another gallery) and then shift steadily to adults as the night slips by. By the end of the evening the costumes get more and more risque... usually ending in people wearing only a smile and some body paint... or possibly nothing at all.
Although a lot of the costumes lacked uniqueness, there was none the less a lot of creativity put forth by all.
