Failed PaD Year Five (The Crash)

MY RULES of ENGAGEMENT:

(1)I desire to push myself to better my skills and abilities (2)I'll post only images taken within a 24 hour window (3)I enjoy the camaraderie of the PaD community and value appreciation, honest criticism and learning from others' vision (4)I will comment when something I see touches or moves me (5)I will vote when I see images that I think others should see (6)I will not mention a vote unless I feel that the mentioning of the vote accentuates the comment left.

In my fifth year, I'm less concerned about the rules than I am about finding pleasure, peace and healing through this creative endeavor. This really should be called something else. Maybe 5 Days a Week...

I just read your rules of engagement. I wish I could find the discipline you do to post only photos taken within 24 hours but find time short sometimes and either post an old shot or sometimes no shot. Besides that one rule, I agree with all the others completely!

It is wonderful when a photographer has the talent to grab a piece of the everyday world and present it as a thing of beauty to those who ordinarily pass them by. But to do it so consistently and at the same time inventing different ways to present them... well that's the stuff of artistry.
