Winter Jasmine

March 1

Northern Davidson County

As I start off the last month of year one PaD, I want to mention a few things:

  • I set out to stretch myself and grow as a photographer.

  • I wanted to learn from observing other's gifts/eye and doing.

  • I hoped to form bonds with people who share this gift/obsession.

  • I desired the discipline to continue even when I did not "feel" like it.

Thank you so much for your encouragement, sharing your talent and making this
experiment a joyful experience for me. OBTW... there is no way I'm going to
end this after year one. I benefit too much from this and I'm addicted ;)

Jasminum nudiflorum (Winter Jasmine) is one of the first blooming woody plants
each year. Just welcoming in the start of nature's sexual frenzy :)

Excellent photo as usual Scott. Very fine detail and color.

This shot makes me think of the emergence of Spring and the retreat of Winter. The drab and dreary color blurred in the background and the vibrant colors crisp in the foreground!

I too am nearing a year of PaD. I feel as if I have really grown as a photographer due to all the comments and advise from other fellow padders...thank you all!

Scott this image is lovely, I love the DOF and it is nice to see color exploding onto the scene again...come on spring!

Reminds me of home [parents]. Looks like everything is beginning to build into a great final month.

I'm glad you will continue your pad. I'm looking forward to the next month - and the next year! Flowers - a lot of snow and -9 celcius here.
