Callicarpa 'Early Amethyst'

September 15

Office

FIRST: Yesterday's PAD ID game answer is...
Pueraria lobata (Kudzu)... if you followed Buzz's
lead you got it. ORIGIN: Japan NATURE: Invasive
INTRODUCED: Worlds Fair as an erosion control
groundcover USES: The Chinese use the roots for
a tea to treat stomach disorders and headaches.

A little "transition" to fall piece. One of my
favorite native plants this time of year is Beautyberry.
The purple berry clusters cover the stems from base to tip.

OTHERS:
A little bit closer now...

A little color from another...

and one colorful pest...

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Nice shots - but mighty unfair having to make us choose our own PAD !!!

I seldom think of B&W for plants, but I like it most times I see it. This is beautifully done with great dof.

Love the two black and white shots in this series! Gorgeous rich tones, fabulous compositions! Every now and then, I see a b&w shot on this site that brings that great feeling I used to get when I pulled a really rich toned, terrific print out of the tray of fixer in the darkroom! When you know you've got a winner! These two definitely fall in that category! Vote!

I prefer the B&Ws, Scott. Very nice and I enjoy the selective focusing.
Beauty Berry. We New Orleans ex-pats know it as French Mulberry.

Okay, I am torn. They are all wonderful, but 1 and 2 are my favs. Just can't make up my mind.--Rene
