Prairie Trillium is an erect rhizomacious perennial found in the moist rich
woods of the Cumberland Plateau west in Tennessee. It is the only recorded
Trillium in West Tennessee. It is distinguished by sessile flowers with
reflexed sepals between the leaves. Petals are normally reddish-maroon.
