The only native Cactaceae family member in Tennessee.
Found sparingly in sandy or rocky open areas across
the state. The 1"-2" red to purple fruits are edible.
...others just added of this Cactus...
...and also a digital oil painting of another perspective
on yesterday's Red Barn in rural Davidson County...
