Submitted for the June "Urban & Landscape" Challenge.
Part of a mini series within the "Urban Landscapes"
on the historic Fisk University and it's architecture.
THE STATUE:
W.E.B. DuBois was a man unashamed to "march to his on
beat". A scholar and great thinker. The first African-
American graduate of Harvard University, where he earned
his Ph.D in History. In the course of his long, turbulent
career, he attempted virtually every possible solution to
the problem of twentieth-century racism. (02/23/1868-08/27/1963)
