The lady sat next to driver is my grandmother Elizabeth Rumming nee Trigg. Lived in the village until around 1938/9. Her father, uncle and grand father owned/worked in village post office as Postmaster, as she did as shop assistant. Two ladies down is also my granny. My grandmother x2 was Mary Jewell Trigg nee Stevens. We also have a copy of this photograph in out collection.

This is Charlie Durnford's chain-driven Hallford charabance CR 4021, with Charlie at the wheel.
I would be interested in any other such photos locally, as I am writing a new book about the bus and coach operators of the Newbury area. Would also like to see any photos of Tom Holman or his vehicles. Any photos loaned would be copied and promptly returned.
Thanks.
