The last half of April 2019, Ye Olde Photographer and his Faire Spouse joined another couple for a trek to celebrate the retirement of the last of the four of us. The centerpiece of the trip was a Viking "Rhine Getaway" which we enhanced a bit with a few nights in Switzerland toward the alps at the beginning, and a night in Amsterdam at the other end. It worked out that we were able to use some public transportation in Amsterdam to visit Keukenhof, an annual festival sort of event that features several million tulips and other spring bulbs in a park that covers about 80 acres. This has to be seen to be fully appreciated.

The river tour portion of the trip included all meals and a series of shore excursions at each stop along the way. We covered a lot and, thanks to surprisingly cooperative weather, were able to enjoy many walks, both guided, and on our own. Service was wonderful, as was the food — YOP could get used to such a life — alas, likely his bank account could not. 8-(

NOTE: YOP returned with a rather huge pile of photos from three cameras — his iPhone 6s, his EOS M5, and yes, even a few from his Yashica TLR! Sadly, based on past experience, and knowing there are some Real Life(tm) demands sprinkled in, it may be a lo-o-o-ng time (think 'months') before he finishes editing and uploading!
