We booked an optional tour in Kinderdijk to visit a cheese farm. We were bused out to the countryside and ended up at Booij Kaasmakers. There are three generations of the family involved in the operation. Around them are dairy farms which are the source of the milk they use.

We were given an introduction to the process, and enjoyed a tasting of several samples. After that we put on protective booties and went through the actual cheese making area. The cheese was quite good, and the tour was excellent.
