I've wanted to see a marmot ever since I moved out west. Finally, a trip to the Olympic National Park in Washington State brought me really close to these crazy little guys.

Very nice marmot pictures! You did a great job of capturing them and getting close ups. I just recently saw a yellow-bellied marmot at Manning Park in B.C. Very inquisitive fellow, but also slightly shy. For the mention of marmots in Spokane, a good place to see them is at the YWCA. One bit my great aunt on the toe there once! (She was wearing sandals.)

There is a good size colony of Marmots inhabiting a park in downtown Spokane. They are very social creatures and are really adept at working a crowd for treats.
