Gallery Three - Borneo: These photographs were taken in 1958 or 1959 and I have included them to give some idea of how logging operations were carried out in Borneo in those days. There was no "slash and burn" policy as is generally used today in the logging areas of the world and as I recall, we were lucky if we could obtain approval to fell more than one or at most two logs per acre. This was to give time for regeneration of the forest. These photographs were taken with a Rolleiflex.
