Capturing images in the fog is very difficult.
Does anyone have any tips on how to make them "special".
They never seem to look the same on the screen or in
a print compared to actually being there.

On this imiage I used Levels adjustments, and bumped the
saturation level in the red channel, and bumped the contrast level.
I also selectd the numbers onthe sail and darkened them.
Would you have done anything else?

For those of us who weren't there, this does look good. No better ideas.

I do not do a lot of postproduction so I can not help you there. This image is "special" in my book. Nicely done.
