02-AUG-2006

08-02-06

A wild storm rolled through Saint Joseph during our regular Wednesday night race.
Several competitors withdrew from the race due to the impending storm.
We (the Race Committee) Captain Craig Siemans, his lovely wife Elisa,
our cheif record keeper Jennifer Cox, Earl Cox, our head anchor man and flag operator,
along with Ann Marie, Elisa's niece,
held out until the last boat finsihed and then "beat feet" for home.
We all had a great time back at the Club talking about the whole evening.
After we were all safely in the Club, at the bar of course, the rain came down in buckets!
A great time was had by all.
This shot was taken several hours after the race had ended. It was shot through
the windshield of my car in the parking lot so it is not as sharp as I would have liked it.
(I still think it is cool)

With the drain drops ,it indicateed the real weather without enhancement of photoshop. 30 seconds was a real long exposure of the given situation.

Without those drain drops this could be one of the best lightning photos what I have seen.
But even with those drops this is still awesome photo. I have no idea how you get so colourfull and good foregound but keep doing it cos it looks great =)

This must be Saint Joseph, Michigan? I watched the storm come across the state but we didn't get much, just a little rain. This is an excellent picture, it makes me think of a war shot. GMV

Super shot. The drops on the windshield just show you have good sense.

I mean on your windshield!

What a catch, even with those drops on your lens.
