The 2005 Chicago to Mackinac Yacht Race starts today.
Several hundred boats will leave Chicago today and race
non-stop, the 333 miles to Mackinac Island.
Most will finish on Monday or Tuesday.
I'm have mixed feelings about today. I've done this race
many times over the years but have to sit out this year because
we are taking our family vacation to Oregon next week
and I can't miss work that many days in a row. Oh well,
Oregon will be a blast! I've never been to that part of the country.
