After a year at the Filozofski in Zagreb I travelled around what used to be Jugoslavija with a group of American students. We had been part of a program to learn "Serbo-Croatian." Portland State University was the American connection to the Zagreb university, and the Fullbright Hays Act funded the program. We travelled in a cool Mercedes mini-bus with a wild Slovenian driver who defied death every day.
