Two years ago a guy told me he was in a car crash in Mostar and was taken to the hospital, where Dr. Ben was the physician. So that's the last report I've heard on him. I last saw him in Split in '94 and he was not pleased to be there...

Thanks James!!! I was born in Jajce in 1983 and had to take refuge with my mother and my brothers and sisters two months after the Serbs started the war. First to Split, than to Zagreb and Sweden. My dad stayed in order to fight. After Jajce fell, he also escaped. Thank God he servived!!! Other children were not that lucky! I have been living in Germay since 18 years now. But still visiting my grandma in Jajce every year. Best regards: Iva- PS Do you or anybody else know where Dr Ben is right now?

We lost a lot of good man defending this town. God bless them and God bless all who have helped in the defence of Jajce. Also a good thing to know...Croat have taken back Jajce in 1995! :) One of the factors that created peace in former Yugoslavia.

Thank you for showing the brave soldiers HVO the defenders of Jajce in such beautiful and powerfull shots. Thank you! God bless the dead soldiers who gave theire lives to protect mine! I was a child when this happened but I remember it well. Jajce is an historic Croatian town. I grew up there and love everything about it. The Croats thank you for these photos James.

Beautiful gallery !!! Thank you so much for making this site. I was born in Jajce 1963 and left with my family for Sarajevo 1967 but spent every summer in that magical place visiting my grandparents. As it is obvious from this post - once you drink the waters of the Vrbas and swim in Pliva's lakes - you never forget Jajce - not even if you left the town 41 years ago !!!

I hope you will find out what happened to those most beautiful baby-girls !!!!
