In July 1982 the dock at Zidell Explorations caught fire. I was living at Portland Center, a few blocks away, and jumped in my VW and headed down there. Oddly, I have no other memory of the event....just slides. Here's a few. Note the pleasure boaters enjoying the event. The Coast Guard had it's hands full keeping them at a distance. As usual, most were drunk.
