Tweaked kid

Sarajevo

This guy was a regular in the parking lot at PTT in Sarajevo, where the UN had their headquarters. He would sort of beg, but not aggressively. Artillery shells would periodically land in the immediate area, but I never saw him worried about it. I shot this picture 10 years ago and can't help but wonder how many people are walking around Sarajevo with serious psychological problems from the war.

As the saying in Sarajevo goes, "If you're normal around here, there must be something wrong with you." :)

I see that this collection got attention of some extremists.. natural that is, and could never harm the true record that those images stand for.. some shall look at the fire of the bakery you photographed and see just fire with little heads, but some shall almost smell the bread.. what produces a war is letting little heads rule.. it's all words.. I just want to stand silent, for the kid..

Your pictures are really great.
And about the psychological problems. On the first look, everything seems to be ok, but if you scratch below the the surface...........
