The Serbs who visit this site are always complaining that I don't show their side, so here's a shot of me with the editor of Duga, a major chetnik weekly magazine. We were poolside at the Fischer-Spasski chess tournament at Sveti Sfefan, a bizarre event in the middle of a war. The pistol belongs to the bodyguard of the Prince of Serbia. He had just handed it to me with a request that I fire it under water in the pool to see what would happen. I told him what would happen. The Sigg pistol would be fine, but the column of water pushed forward by the 9mm bullet would poke a hole in the wall of the pool and get me kicked out of the hotel. I spent a week at the chess tournament, shared a hotel suite with Russian photographer Vladimir Sichov, and met a lot of nice people, including Zsa Zsa Gabor's plastic surgeon.
