One thing Paraga and I have in common: we like the same suite at the Hotel Bellevue in Split. http://www.hotel-bellevue-split.hr/ Suite 201 overlooks the bay. There's a taxi stand right below the window and there's always something going on down there. The Bellevue is an older hotel, and far from the cheezy commie hotels the other journalists and other politicians were staying at. But we had competition for the suite. There was a UNHCR official who rented it when she was in town, and Andrew Hogg of the London Sunday Times also liked it, as did Askold of the European. Once I entered the hotel lobby and Paraga was standing at the reception desk. I overheard the concierge say "Yes, Mr. President, it is the same foreign journalist that's rented it." He could have sent the Black Legion after me, but he didn't.
