Dutch Harbor is about to undergo some serious changes. The oil fields in the Chukchi and Beaufort Seas are estimated to hold 50 years worth of crude. Dutch Harbor is the closest ice-free major port to those oil fields. The DC3 flies over the airport looking for a route in through the fog.
