Chores

They never end and there is always something….
Right now I am working through a stack of logs to make space for an expansion of the gardens.
A piece of firewood gets moved no less than 8 times before it ends up in the fire.
Sometimes it doesn’t seem worth it but on a cold stormy night… It seems worth it then!

Firewood warms at least three times, cutting, splitting and stacking, and finally in the stove ;).

There's nothing like a wood stove for keeping the winter chills at bay !! Plus it keeps you busy :)

You've just described the human condition. :)

Not only cutting but a lot of splitting.

Chuckling about the firewood faff. So true. Completing chores really does a lot for self esteem, so you should be feeling great.
