Next Years Model

A group of wasps protecting a queen for 2021 emerge from the nest.
They seem to be asking..
“Have you seem the drones? So small but cute!”
“Where Are You Going to Hide?”
Before looking for a dry snug spot to hibernate for the winter.
Only a few will make it and even fewer will find
success building a nest next year, but it only takes one!
And the one will either be lucky or a new and improved model.

The nest is now just a few attending sister wasps taking care of the
queens and drones that emerge every day a half a dozen at a time.

A great shot, sharp and very detailed. I find wasp behaviour fascinating and your text encapsulates that fascination. V
