A Slice of Old Sequim

The old Clallam Co-Op silo and what may be the last farm in the city limits.
The silo sat next to a railroad siding that is now under a parking lot and mini-mall.
The Co-Op I knew and loved is long gone now and I was there a few times a week.
It had a part and repair shop, hardware, feed, hay, fuel and anything else you needed
Now it’s the “The Co-op Farm and Garden” I rarely go in there because
they turned into a suburban hobby farm garden center and everything that entails.
It’s no longer the busy, noisy place were you could find what you actually needed
and come across some of the old timers to talk or maybe strike a trade.
The original B2B business model - Barn to Barn!
It worked very well and usually you had same day delivery
Gosh! How did we ever do it without the Internet?

Excellent image. There are many stores like that that I miss from the old days. V

I love this view and how the image has a very definite retro color film look. ~BV~

Good old times, simple and effective. We have the saying here in Poland (taken from the Czech language) - To se ne vrati! Means: it will never come back.

It sounds painfully nostalgic. A good part was the interchange with people that I expect you miss. An email falls short.
