I was talking to some fellow travelers.
Fun group but I was having trouble following the conversation.
Thought it was going well until I asked if we could do a selfie…
They could have just said “No”…
Anyway I woke up somewhere just
across the state line in west Texas…?
It was strange!
People greeted me with words like…
“How are you doing today Sir?”
and “What can we do for you Sir?”
One woman even called me “Darling”
in that way only a girl from Texas can.
Anyway I started to like the place…
Then I woke again near Tucumcari, NM
along I-40 wearing a cowboy hat and craving BBQ.
Ha! Jokes on them!
I’m a Vegetarian!
I knew something was strange
about those people… yet they seemed so nice…
Still leaves me wondering.
Where will I wake up next?
