Tehachapi Pass

We thought it would snow, but it didn’t.
It’s very pretty when it does, also treacherous if the weather gets really bad.
The pass crosses between the San Joaquin Valley and the Mojave Desert.

The tractor trailers and the wing generators make an uneasy peace with their surrounding. Compromise is achieved here so long as the technology/big business doesn't attempt to overwhelm.

Look at all those wind turbines! I really hate the look of them and worry about their impact on birds, but on the other hand, I support green energy. A conundrum. But this is a striking photo.
