Every year morel mushrooms pop up somewhere in the yard.
When we first got here they came up around a very old
apple tree until it died and fell down.
Then they came up over by the old plum,
some around the apple trees in the orchard.
This years crop came up between
the hazelnut and the walnut tree.
I take them all over to our neighbor Sue.
Being an original child of the forest,
she deserves and savors the annual treat!
