We were sitting along Alii Drive in Kona taking a break.
This guy comes along, gets up on the wall and starts to fish.
We eventually walk down that side of the street.
Looks interesting so we ask him what he’s fishing for.
He looks down and doesn’t seem to understand…
so we try again!
With what seems to be a thick accent he indicates he doesn’t
speak very good English and he doesn’t understand…
We are okay with that and just watch for a few casts
thinking he might catch something.
We decide to walk on and say “Good-bye and good luck”!
As clear as an all American teenager with zero accent…
He replies… “Thanks! Bye!”
Just another day at the circus along Alii Drive
