Distraction

While I was waiting for something in Port Angeles.
Instead of waiting there, I went up to Hurricane Ridge.

A view that some of you may be familiar with!
It was warmer and the snow is melting fast,
The marmot have moved down for abundant feed and
the deer have moved up to look for young tender greens.
The crows are hanging around the parking lot looking
for those who feed the wildlife though they shouldn’t.
Yep! It’s almost summer in ONP.

Yes a familiar view. It is interesting to see how much snow is melting in the past two weeks.

much more refreshing and peaceful here than being in town on a warm day...still lots of snow, although clearly more bare patches than 2 1/2 weeks ago..
