In April I had planed to get out for photos!
Mostly to go up to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park.
It is the slowest of all seasons when the ski area closes
and before the warm weather visitors show up.
When and if you can get up there, go before sunrise.
It can be indescribable and photos will never do it justice.
A place to just sit and watch the light come over the the edge of the earth.
You have to try to get the shot but at some point be satisfied,
set the camera aside and take it all in.
It’s the real reason you’re there anyway
even if you think otherwise.
This year The Olympics got over 100% of snow pack!
The snow is still over 100 inches deep.
The Hurricane Ridge Road has been closed for most of April due to snow.
Today it was closed because a warm front
came through and avalanche danger is high.
