It was great weather today!
Sunshine, 60-ish, a very soft breeze.
The weather was so nice that visitors
started thinking about moving here!
They come from places down south or back east
thinking they are moving to Paradise!
Things go well more or less if they move here on one of
those years that summer gets here before the 4th of July!
Which 2 weeks of the year that is called "Summer"
varies from year to year and there is always
debate among the old timers what weeks it happened.
It's been happening since the mid 1800's
when New England sea captains brought
passengers including their own families here!
Even then some of their wives bought return passage
back to New England within days if not hours.
Now days the thinning happens sometime
in the first winter between October and April or
they become 'Snowbirds" who migrate up and down
I-5 like it was the Pacific Flyway
Those that stay realize when it's nice,
it's really nice, but often it's short lived
It's just the 9 months of cool, wet, grey weather
that makes you an expert on nice days!
