This may be the last race season.
These races are held at the Forks airport.
Because the city of Forks took some FAA funds, the regulations kick in.
When this all started a few years back a pilot complained and the controversy started.
In all the years I have passed through Forks the only time I have seen an airplane
using the runway was at a fly in! Usually the elk are grazing here and
the Quillayutea airport is about 5 miles away. It also belongs to the city of Forks
and you guessed it! They used funding from the FAA.
I hope they work it out.
