I'm so lost sometimes.. How did I miss this? (maybe because I've been so far away in some ways).. beautifully composed, Chris.. he seems to have emotion in that stoned face.. love the background green and lively with his seriousness in the forefront.

Love the way that the web looks like it's restraining the lion's roar, he's straining against the ties that bind. Excellent. Oh, and the sparkly green background rocks too!

I'm voting for one of your best.

Great clarity. You can see the web or does he have a double chin.

The weight of integrity versus the ephemeral.Fabulous contrast of texture and substance:)

I like the sharpness of the sculpture and the contrast with the background.
Very nice Chris.

hint of a web- oh more than that.. great find with it coming out of the mouth. perfect contrast & depth of field for this guy.

Beautiful DoF here, Chris. What I like best, though - even more than the texture of the stone - is that hint of cobweb beneath the lion's chin. There's just something about it ...

Light of the background is very beautiful.
Glad to see your photo again.. :)

Beautiful Chris. What I really like here is not easy to explain... something like: contrast between the density, the weight of the stone, which is sharp, and the lightness of the air, of the leaves, of the light itself,, which are blurred... (I hope it's understandable!)

I'm seeing negative & non-negative space used to perfection. Bravo, Chris.

The title leads my imigination in a different direction than sculpture. That is unless it is a sculpture of the van in Up in Smoke.

Superb image. It works very well. V
