20050806 / Mohini Murti

Assuming the form of a young woman and thus bewildering the
demons, the lord distributed the nectar produced from the churning
of the ocean of milk to his devotees, the gods. Unto that lord, who
always fulfills the desires of his devotees, I offer my respects.
--Bhagavatam (8.12.47)

Whoops! didn't realize i wasn't logged in when i made my comment. Stunning group of photos you have here. I'm going to go look at more. I have a beautiful Quan Yin painted on glass this photo reminds me a little of that fragile and ethereal. thanks, denise

Brilliant piece of art! Sadly, I only recognize two of the depictions here: Shankar on the far left (viewer's left) and Ramana in the far right corner. Is this photographed artwork, or from a publication, etc? Also, is the Om something that was composited onto the image? Whatever it is, it's been done beautifully, and you've captured and presented it here perfectly.

Very nice image. I like the sensuality in the slopes of the white. The woman indeed has a beautiful smile. I like the words that you added as well, such a foreign way of believes.

Very bizarre abstract. I like the contrasts.
