20050723 / Troubadour

A Street / Monterey, CA

The itinerant musicians and street performers include downtown
Monterey on their circuit every summer. You can find fellows
like this year-round in Santa Cruz, but only a few months a year
here on A street.

Are you still searching for the devil in the details?

You certainly do have the touch with muscians. Nicely done

I've been trying to put my finger on what exactly it is I like, and I'm failing, I like it all! Although the grain's really adding texture to the shot.

Nice shot. I especially like the color version.

Yepp, the B&W is very nice! They both are very nice shots!

Think I prefer hte B&W, but I am in that groove at the moment :). Great shot at 300mm either way.

Great shot of guitarist. His eyes alone tell a story. His shirt and the brick wall are compatible, too. His guitar just might be a Gibson.

Like the B&W image for this.

nice "urban" candid!

This is HOT! Cover of Rolling Stone for sure (if he were famous). Color version does a lot more for me than the monochrome.
I can't figure out what your light source is, but it's very good.

Very satisfying realism to this and despite being 'up against a wall' it's quite 3D. Great colours and saturation too. Ah yes, the tell-tale missing EXIF.I relented and bought a license. Now that he mentions it, I can see the effect of NI on his face; it has that creamy look. Sometimes this works to advantage, like in SPs :)

Love the bw version
