First hike of the season :)

Starting at 5:40 PM might not have been the best idea.
After climbing close to 1900 feet up the Rocky Ridge Trail
to 'earn' the best view of Garrapata State Park available,
I hoofed it down the steep backside into the Soberanes
Canyon where I lost the sunlight and had a spooky
walk through a dark redwood forest. Seven miles and two
& a half hours later, I emerged none the worse for wear.
