This is Rebecca Emanuel's third time creating '100 Pieces of Love' which is a mosaic of one hundred 8"x10" acrylic painted tiles. They are shown as a whole and then sold off for twenty five dollars a tile. The idea, according to the artist, is that '...there is a great deal of power in the word Love'. After the exhibit is viewed as a whole, that power can be spread as the pieces are sold off.

The original exhibit was in Santa Cruz. A second followed in Seattle. '100 Pieces of Love' is currently showing in Monterey at the Cafe Noir.

For those of you who may worry that I have gone soft, I promise to return to my suspected chauvinistic, slightly self-loathing, bent in the head ways. Soon. Really.
