Heat of mid-July could not stop people coming to Ann Arbor for the Art Fairs, as it has been really good. The Art Fairs even brought more heat to the down town area.
David Beisel, 57, a postal worker from Toledo, carried a bottle of water and an artsy walking stick, meandering down South University, where even utility boxes and hydrants are painted in bright greens and yellows.
He said the worrisome economy will likely affect people's willingness to buy at the art fairs, but he says it doesn't inhibit him from coming.
"We all love art," he said, "but some things are discretionary."
But, he added, "whether you buy or not, it's an experience to really enjoy."
Thanks for visiting.
