been a lovely day.

you cant seem to drive round the island today
without bumping into workmen and/or 10mph and 20mph speed limit signs
because of chippings on the road!
are we getting ready for a royal visit next year i wonder? ;-)

Perhaps your about to meet the new Duchess of Cornwall !! I love the old signs, they show the character of the place & thankfully not fodder for graffiti

Actually, you don't have to loosen the screws, I think all the round signs like this on the Island are the same. Only the one bedded in tarmac can be trusted, but... only the tourists need them (and the roads almost circular, but don't let them know).
