20th May

The Waverley started sailing this route again today,
not exactly a nice day for her, its rained for most of the day!
These people didn't want to risk getting wet by getting off the ship for a walk round the town
so they sat and ate their chips heheh
More pics in the Waverley Gallery

its both my brother's and my niece's birthday today!
my brother is 14 and my niece is 6.

Not sure what looks more grim, the clientelle, the food, or the weather!

Re Apollos's message, I've checked with my brother. This is what we think we did. Got on the Waverley at Dunoon to Arrochar. Walked to Lock Lomond and caught another boat (must have been Maid of the Loch), to Balloch maybe? Then caught a train at some point and were picked up by coach and taken back to Dunoon!

Not sure why I found this photo amusing but I did. Great capture, Zak.

Very interesting, Zak. And, happy birthday to the birthday people.

Loch lomond is landlocked, but the good news is that means you must have sailed on the Maid of the Loch. She's been lost for over 20 years, but a long restoration by volunteer enthusiasts may soon be over, and see her sail again.

I've been on the Waverley....over 30 years ago....I was very young!
A trip on Loch Lomand, I think.

Oh yes, marvellous! The culinary-ness. Gorgeous pic, even down to the wee bit of rust. Lovely. It takes the (Waverly) biscuit.
