My Aunt worked in Gastons the grocers which was on the corner then McIntyres the grocers at the bottom of chapel hill. Not sure if that was Muirs the bakers. They had a shop on Argyle street but I thought it was further along.

On the way to school it was a choice of a penny bun or cough sweets from The Rock Shop further on - Happy Days!
