Mr Guest, I was merely stating my opinion on the matter, I honestly think that the cost of that project could do so much more for the town, we are all entitled to our opinions.
I hope that when its finished you'll enyoy your wee song and dance with the man in the corner shop and have a wonderful time lol

While the previous garden was nice enough, it was nothing more than a few planters thrown on some spare ground - and that is a compliment to those who looked after it. Some people have no understanding of how things that are built properly take time, such are the many fast and shoddy jobs done nowadays, and are probably more upset that they will not be able to complain about it falling apart at the edges in a few years, so are getting the boot in now with gripes about cost and time. Better to give praise to those who are actually sorting the town now. Those who have moaned about nothing being done for years are just upset about their favourite pastime gradually being taken away from them ;-)

Something had to be done, as anyone who walked through it regularly will testify, the smell of cat p*** from the bushes was bit strong to say the least!

Hugh some people may say its a waste of public money sorting the front of the town(ie get the council run training scheme trainees to paint the railings). I think it will be great and maybe we can all rejoice and sing a song. You seem like the type of person thats jealous of the man in the corner shop.

I reckon they built the Colosseum much quicker than they are constructing this waste of public money. There was nothing wrong with the way it was and the money could have been better spent on sorting out the front of the town.
