We think this is the worst affected by litter that this bay has ever been and I think Dougie is correct as to the reason why this has happened.
Beachwatch Bute is very grateful to the Council for their assistance in clearing this dreadful mess up. Huge thanks also to Ardmaleish Boatyard for generously loaning us Robert and his digger!
We are returning today (Friday) to continue. Great post Dougie!!

I am one of the Council guys with Sandra here, this litter waste was caused by the storms we have had recently, probably all the lost litter bins washed in to the sea from the mainland, unfortunately Port Bannatyne seems to be bearing the brunt of the debris.
I know it's a big ASK, BUT, if you are resident here, and are walking around the area, could you please just take a doggy Poo bag, or a supermarket bag and just pick up one item, It really will make a Difference.
