"Days gone by" is the truth! This pool was demolished before I was born in Rothesay, and that was in 1932. By that time they had built another salt water pool on the shore right opposite the old indoor swimming pool at 32 Battery Place. That pool was demolished as well before the second World War, and the indoor pool across the road built.

One of my favourite places, even though I couldn't get in, darn. It's so evocative of days gone by. We have a Marina now and a car park. I know which I'd prefer, we don't even have a seafront now, tsk. I think I'll move to Bute!

Lovely set. You can almost picture 21st century centrally heated wimps standing there like dummies, waiting for the developer to "finish" the place with a roof, heaters for the changing rooms, and for the pool.

Changing rooms, what a brilliant idea. Here's hoping they do them up, a lick of paint would do wonders.

Maybe it's time they got a grant to refurbish them.

Looks a wonderful place.
Particularly like the green water near the rusty concrete reinforcers.
