Count me among those who collected stamps as a youngster. They brought me an early inkling of who vast the world is. These are indeed lovely examples with their fine engraving and delightful colors.

Nice gallery! My late father was a enthusiastic stamp collector, too, and I remember how he sat hours washing & dryíng stamps and moving them into big albums. He got new friends through his hobby, too, visiting them in Switzerland and inviting them to Finland to fish in Lapland..:)
