You're probably correct - for lack of knowing what the Czech-made plane was actually called, I nicknamed it a 'Czech MIG' - I just couldn't quite remember what the L-159 was called. There are two of them at my local private airport, so occasionally I get to see them flying over my house.

This small fighter looks like the Czech-made Aero L-159 ALCA, not a MiG, the camouflage scheme is Czech but the markings are most definitely Russian...a strange enigma!
